I help businesses determine their most strategic digital initiatives. Starting with the production of early interactive ‘edutainment’ CD-ROMs in the 90’s, I have continued working on a variety of online products ever since. As a true product expert, I have defined the digital strategy for large online players in Toronto, London (UK) and Vancouver. I have worked around the globe building successful online products and strengthening brands’ reach. I am comfortable working with small teams at the idea stage, or in a large organization focused on expansion.

Successes

As the 2nd employee in Canada, I helped build a business that over seven years grew to become one of Canada’s top five e-commerce sites. During my tenure, we disrupted a large legacy industry and overhauled how people research and purchase travel. I worked across five brands (Expedia, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Trip Advisor and Expedia Cruise Ship Centers) in North America, Europe, and Australia. Today, Expedia is the largest seller of travel in the world.

Cheapflights is a global leader in the vertical search space. It pioneered the Pay-Per-Click (PPC) lead generation model in the travel vertical. Working in the London head office, we launched three new points of sale (Canada, Australia and Germany) and successfully overhauled the core platform, leading to significant traffic and conversion gains, much of it from improved organic search (SEO) performance.

Glacier Media is Western Canada’s largest media information corporation. During my three years at Glacier, we introduced numerous new digital revenue generation products. We developed a significant digital sales training process, launched a daily deals site in six markets, and created a new responsive designed CMS platform in less than 3 months that will form the foundation of Glacier’s online publishing for over 50 digital properties. I also played an active role in numerous corporate acquisitions, including an $86 million transaction.
